The Shakespearian Stories

I have been reading the Shakespeare Stories and I am going to share a bit about them,
Most people have heard of the famous William Shakespeare, but some people don't know a lot of his plays, so I am going to show you some plays. His language is a bit different to ours so I will highlight any hard words or names. so here are some of his plays: The taming of the shrew,  Much ado about nothing, The Tempest,  King Lear, Hamlet, As you like it, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, Richard |||, Henry V,  The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra,  Twelfth night, A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, Julius Caeser, Macbeth. Now I will explain what the highlighted things mean:
1. A shrew is a sharp-tongued woman.
2. A tempest is a wild and violent storm.
3. King Lear is a king that gets betrayed by two of his daughters.
4. Hamlet is a prince who pretends to be mad so that he can see if his uncle killed his father.
5. Othello is a black skinned man, he gets lied to and does a terrible sin.
6. Romeo is a Montague and he loves Juliet who is in the Capulet family.
7. Juliet is a Capulet, and she loves Romeo who is in the Montague family.
8. Richard ||| is the Duke of Gloucester who kills people because he wants to be king.
9. Henry V is a king (at a youngish age) who starts a war. And wins the hearts of all his subjects.
10. A merchant is a very rich man.
11. Antony is a general who falls in love with Cleopatra.
12. Cleopatra is the queen of Egypt who falls in love with Antony.
13. Julius Caeser is a general(and NEARLY gets to be king) but sadly people kill him.
14. Macbeth is a general and becomes king but commits LOTS of sins and is haunted by ghosts.
So those are most of the books from the Shakespeare Stories. Hope you enjoy Shakespeare as much as I do. In my eyes, he was a brilliant writer! By Charlotte.
